I just need to let anyone out there know about my dealings with the Electric Wheel Company.
I found myself in need of a folding electric bike and decided that the one best suited to my needs was the Brompton M3. I took a look at all of the options and decided I would use the Electric Wheel Company. I was a bit concerned at some of the negative comments posted about the service side of the business, especially the calling back and general communications. My experience has been dealing with Tony Castles directly over the phone and via email and I have to give a 100% positive feed back. I understand that the company is a small business and it is not always easy to deal with the many aspects of running a small business, taking the calls, arranging the deliveries, carry out the modifications and so on. However Tony gave a very professional and personal service from start to finish. He listened to my needs and made recommendations that were spot on. I need to carry samples to customers homes and businesses and the Brompton S bag with a motor in it would not give me enough space. He made a point sourcing and modifying a Brompton T bag which gives me the required space and works a treat. I also wanted to have my bike back with in a matter of days and Tony even went out of his way to accommodate this by putting in some hours on a Sunday to complete the modifications to the bike and turning it around in under a week, 5 star service! If you are considering an electric bike conversion I would defiantly recommend them.
Lastly the bike is now a joy to ride with all but the steepest of hills proving a reasonable effort to climb.
