Happy dayz indeed, loads of childhood memories there.
What I find amazing is that you have available such 'wild' riding when you live so close to a major conurbation. Whilst I live so rurally but all my riding is tarmac. If I tried that round here I'd probably end up with a shot gun in my face. Still it's compensated by some stunning views and virtually no traffic.

Nice use of the word... I thought that about my area but I attacked the issue on two levels a quick search on our areas gov website and I found various paths and new places to explore made for bikes and the other way is every time I spot a public walk/bridle path sign I note it and then the next day try it out, with only three draw backs mozies, people and bumpy farm tracks... But like you most of these new paths back when I was a lad had shotgun armed farmer on or near em.
