Just done a conversion to a Vertigo They were a Tesco sold mtb. Rear hub ,48v 13ah batt . Amazing performance . Just ridden the short 2 miles or so workshop to home 28 mph on flat private industrial estate road . Yes torque arm fitted . Looking to do more conversions better mtb at our warehouse in S Liverpool. Looking to make a few 14mm torque plates from 6 mm plate . Hope my choice of batt and wheel are ok . Wash bag covers the controller!
Batt fixed via adapter (water bottle screws too near down tube . My Idea drill through from under and long nut and screw though tube instead of rivet screws . Reinforce of course fitted big washers .
Match tube profile . Saves mess with right angle drilling and rivet gun . Stronger too. Not done it yet.
Any others in Lpool would like to help out . Also lots of nice classic wheels for sale . Campag fiamme Mavic etc sprints and wired on

It won't work on any decent bike. The tube is too thin. When you try to tighten the screws, it'll just squash the tube. Fitting rivnuts isn't very difficult. I've fitted loads without any special tools - just a drill and allen key.
