When I visit some forums, my Nexus 7 keeps asking to download the Tapatalk app.
I just click not to download, and carry on viewing the website as a normal webpage.
Now I don't mind paying the £1.99 for the app, but is it worth it and will it make my forum experience any better?

Once you've figured it out, it's a lot better than a browser, and worth the 2 quid.

it would be helpful to know what advantages it has over android's general browsing ? i.e. is it quicker or does it have a better layed out format?

A browser will work just fine, but tapatalk is a dedicated forum reader for android, and is a bit slicker. It all just works a bit better, without having to zoom in/out all the time. You can also set it up to have all your forums in the same place, with the same interface for all.

Personally, I would rather use tapatalk on an android mobile than a full web browser on laptop.

For the sake of £2 I would give it a go.

Also sent with tapatalk.

We'll be building our 'own' Tapatalk app shortly which you can download for Android/iPhone devices.

I've just got the new version of Tapatalk ver4 beta. It seems really nice.

BTW you can switch off the Tapatalk signature in the settings.

vBulletin also do a mobile forum app which is free. As we've had to sign up for Android and Apple developers to get the Tapatalk app we may as well do the vBulletin one too.
