Ta Rah Mercedes Smart Designer e-bike

So , after a short while i'm saying goodbye to the Mercedes Smart bike. Nothing really wrong with the bike but it really was designed for commuting and while great for getting around a city it was too sensible and not much fun to ride out of its environment. I have passed it on to a family member who works I the centre of London and has to commute 15 miles each way so I'm certain he will get good use from it.

Due to Smart e-Biker the Smart bike has had some negative comments on the forum but if you want a bike for commuting and the area you want to use it is reasonably flat, then providing the price is right its a good piece of kit. However to get the best out of it you will need a "device"

I think the classically designed design classic and its famous owner were always a good laugh and tongue in cheek.

Did you wash the dirt off the pedals?

Hi Izzy, that's exactly my opinion of the bike. It looks OK but is lacking in power and does not have the fun factor.

A great commuter though.

IR772, we went wild and washed the pedal, so no need to worry!

Since Izzyekerslike only kept it a very short time before opting for something else, I suppose IED could stand for Interim Electric Drive.
