Synergie Vivace - Replacement Battery?

Hi,

Does anyone have any recommendation as to where I can purchase a replacement battery for the Synergie Vivace electric bike? Any idea of cost?

After emailing sales@synergiebikes.com I have received a response from these people:

Does this mean synergie no longer exist and have been taken over? Price of the battery on the above site is £197 ! Is this the cheapest I can expect to get the battery for?

Any other sources?

I have performed several searches both before and after my post but am unable to locate a thread that answers my question.

If this has indeed been discussed and suggestions as to battery suppliers put forward for this type of bike I would be grateful if anyone could point me to the thread?

£200 is pretty good price for a replacement battery though? is that from Alien/synergie?

The Synergie Vivace was almost identical to the Alien Lynx, same motor, controller and 'handbag' battery.

The price you have been quoted is quite reasonable, I've seen them as high as £240. My own Alien Lynx folder is still good for 12 - 15 miles after 27 months use.

They can be £400-500 each or approx 3rd of the price of some bikes, or even more

I am in a bit of a daze now after buying my Synergie through Alienbikes, They have also stopped trading. I am annoyed at this as now there is no support, and this was supposed to be the East Fife E- bike centre as well. Have we all been conned. Although my bike is ok, apart from hill climbing. I bought it due to I'll health with COPD. It is a bit heavy so can't go to far as I would never be able to cycle back without assist. I might have to change rear to 14 - 34 range to start with to get up some steep hills here in Kirkcaldy or work out easier routes. Gone are my days of being a hard nosed traditionalist doing 50 miles a day. Any help I get to exercise is a boon.

My advice, avoid going up Dunnikier Road, coming down is great

I lived in Matthew Street just off Dunnikier road for a couple of years in the 70's when I worked at the Victoria Hospital.
Later we moved out to Kinnesswood, happy days

Hi Rob,

This is all from fond memories, I haven't lived in Scotland since 1978, but love the area around Loch Leven and the Lomond Hills.............and the Lomond Country Inn which was a stones throw from where we lived in Kinnesswood.

Fife is a nice county, I left In 1961, but went back regular, until my parents died, nice along the east Neuk fishing villages.

i know we are going off track a bit here ,but i can recomend the east fife coastal path for cycling if you have issues with climbing as it doesn,t have much hills.
off road tyres are a good idea and there are some sections with steps but mostly good .
getting back on track, i also bought from alien just before they stopped trading so know how you feel Bill.
i would be interested in details of suppliers of all the component parts including batteries for the kit i bought.
i haven,t had the kit long and am pleased with it so far but worry about any future issues
