Finding my (electric) wheels

Hi Everyone
I am trying to take the front motor apart from my Swytch bike as it seems to have an electrical problem, probably a short of some sort. (Basically when going over bumps or knocking the top of the tyre the wheel either stops briefly or else it runs when it shouldnt run. Eg standing next to the bike it suddenly jerks forward, rather dangerous.) There's basically no shop in Sydney who will work on an e bike unless it's one of there own ones due apparently to insurance issues?
Anyway the front motor only seems to have 3 small screws that position the outer case onto the motor so not sure how the whole thing comes apart. There certainly aren't any screws around the rim. I'm assuming the axle and nuts have to be removed but it is not even obvious where the motor casing opens from? Could it be some sort of sealed unit that can't be opened? Has anyone tried to take one of these motors apart. I'll put a few pics up asap
ps
Pete
btw Swytch are very reluctant to admit a possible fault in the motor Of course.

The screw joint for the face plate is hard to see but the join is where the face plate bevel meets the hub near the flange in pic#1.
The UK is the same bike shops won't touch hubs motors unless a dealer for said bike brand and then most haven't a clue.

A commercial tool used for removing the face cover by screwing it to the three clutch screws or one can fashion one similar.
I have fashioned one out of 50/60mmmm flat metal bar with an arch and just used two fixing holes to open hubs like this, the longer the bar the more leaverage to open or tap the bar with a rubber mallet.

Hi Nealh
Can't thank you enough for that information. Your quite right about the join being hard to see....
