Oh great! More technical complexity and greater fault liability, just what the garden shed maintained bike needs.
It'll be MOT's next.

I wouldn't want to go back to no ABS on cars, but learning the 'feel' of the brakes and available grip is such a fundamental cycling skill, especially off road. I'll manage without!

"TCS' tests showed that ABS reduced inexperienced riders’ braking distance by a tenth"

So only a 10% improvement in stopping distance for someone who is an inexperienced rider.

But no figures quoted for any cyclists who has got past the inexperienced stage, odd me thinks ?

So ABS could only be a very marginal, if any, long term improvement.

Given that if you introduce extra complexity and cost into the braking system, unless its then subject to appropriate skilled regular maintenence and checking, the end result could be ...... well who knows ...............
