At last, a common-sense alternative to Wind Turbines, Solar and Nuclear. Also, note how the lagoons can be used as holding areas for fresh water during periods of high rainfall. Thus preventing flooding. A similar lagoon built on the Severn Estuary could easily hold every last drop of water currently sitting on the Somerset Levels.

If and when that project comes to fruition, I would love to cycle along the wall.

All they have to do now, is get the idea past the corrupt trough-feeders in Westminster and Brussels.

Well, we will see.
This is Swansea, notorious for pulling in bright ideas, sucking all the money out of them and dumping them. (I live there)
A six mile sea wall? Where will all the rock come from? How long to build it?

And then only enough electricity generated for 120,000 houses.

The Severn estuary barrage is a better answer, much bigger and much more costly, but the output justifies it.
