hi all ,about a year ago a bought a 1500w rear wheel kit from china and it had been working well, but had an accident one day and the lcd got broken,so i just looked at the model name sw 900 and ordered another from ebay [not the same company]this was exactly the same but had an extra wire[7 instead of six] so i have connected the same coloured wires leaving the spare one free and am getting error code 2.on the kit i connected the brake cable and had the cut off button continuously pressed down and taped up to get over this,i have also checked with a spare brake cable connected and error code 2 just stays on.the spare wire alight brown one i think is for a light which i did not have on the original although being supplied with a light with the kit but like i said it worked fine without this.i had asked a guy that has owned electric bikes for 7 years and is an electrician to look at this, but he was stumped as well and suggested this site for help so here i am guys.any ideas.

Displays and controllers are best bought as a pair unless it is a a generic KT model.
Some displays are used with different third party controllers and the likely out come is just a lack of compatibility via software/programming.

How broken was the LCD. was it the bracket, a cracked screen or what? Some kinds of damage would wipe out the controller too.

it docent have a controller never did have
All bikes use a controller as it is the brains of the bike, the display if used tells it what to do PAS power wise.
