Suntour motor help.

Hi

have a Carrera CrossFire E , with a SR Suntour HESC motor and freehub .
As per previous post some time ago the pawls and gear ring seem to be worn see pictures . Was hoping to replace these worn parts possibly from a donor motor .
Moore and Large , the suppliers to Halfords seem to have gone oot of business .
Does anyone know if these parts are available ?
If its obsolete then I am looking to replace with a Bafang / Mxus or equivalent rear hub motor with disc brake compatibility and freehub for cassette gears , 36v 250w motor giving appropriately 50 NM with a KT sinewavee controller and compatible head unit .
Any advise appreciated.

I replaced years ago the pawls of a hub motor with standard bike parts. Nowadays we keep the lids of the hub motors as spares to avoid faffing about with this delicate job. As you have already removed the freehub mechanism, I would suggest you pull the pawls out, wash the mechanism and replace any chipped or worn pawls. They are available on ebay for about £5 a set.

Many thanks for the info and the link , this hub is very similar , so I will try the replacement pawls and retaining spring then take things from there .
