thanks paul

Yes, the 5v and Gnd use a common rail supply.

Also you can't count or it is a typo, rear hub has 6 thin sensor wires.
One assumes the controller Hall connector is missing the White signal wire.

5&6 yes its normaly my spelling thats bad an my maths is normaly spot on but i think i must of got muddled
i have also just re read what you said and double checked ,i have got it, so my question should of been if i have the speed sensor from the hub do i still need to use the speed sensor plug on the controller i assume for a magnet type on the wheel

once i have tested every thing ,would it be a bad thing to cut all the plugs off the leads im not using an put a bit of heat shrink over them leaveing them 10mm from the box ,
as im using my box in the base of the frame an on the 2020 modle subway the box is not as deep or as long as it is on the 2021 an they didnt clean out the clearance in the box where its welded to the frame so some of the bike frame pretudes into the box im grinding it out as its not structual ,i might even have to remove the lower rivnut for lower battery mount to give the controller the clearance angle to get in the frame then when it in replace the rivnut it will be a challenge .
thanks again Nealh

I understand now.
No if the hub motor has six hall wires, the optional speed sensor connector remains unconnected.
The optional speed sensor connector is for an external sensor and spoke magnet, these are handy should the internal speed sensing fails.
