With the rain lashing on the windows and a gale blowing outside this is not a bad time to consider sunnier days next year. I am sure you have all seen cycling holidays advertised like 'cycling-for-softies' and other such operators in europe. The thought struck me that the concept would be ideal for the e-bike and pedelec brigade. Meandering thro sunny countryside towards a picturesque village and hostelry. The batteries on charge while we sampled delicious french cuisine and vin de pays. Just felt that I can't be the first to contemplate such a holiday - anyone with any thoughts, exerience or information on this subject ?

A to B magazine once ran a series on rides into the South of England countryside with hostelry visits for fine foods, hosted by a food loving "Mr Portly". After imbibing, these usually included a somewhat merry return journey on the train.

Occasionally these articles have been asked for again, but pressures on space have left no room for Mr Portly's expanse.
