March 23, 20188 yr Fenetic Fusion deluxe step through E-bike Electric bike with Samsung battery, suspension and 18 gears. Like the look of this bike but don't want 18 gears. 5- 7 ample or my perfered option is 3-5 speed hub gears. Any suggestions?link. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01EJO8W7K?ref_=pfb_i3dnmad12kdi69mi6ieae5if9ken&tag=hydfbook-21&ascsubtag=pfb-P01-V01-O5-T1-LO-QOC1YI Edited March 23, 20188 yr by maljo
March 23, 20188 yr 18 gears means 3 on the front and 6 on the back. They're needed on a non-electric bike. but when they've fitted a motor, all you need is the large chainwheel on the front, so you shift the chain onto it with the LH shifter and never need to touch it again, leaving you with the back 6 gears using the RH shifter. That's the same on any electric bike. If ever your battery runs out (not likely), you can shift to the middle chainwheel for easier pedalling without the motor, and just use the 6 back gears again. FYI, if you want comments on a bike that you've seen advertised somewhere, it's good etiquette to provide a link. Nobody will know what it is and most (including me) can't be bothered to spend time researching to find out. If there's a link, we can click it and see straight away.

March 23, 20188 yr It's all standard Chinese ebike. Nothing wrong with it. it's easy to fix if you know how and easy to get parts, but you will have to do everything yourself. You can get the Pendleton from Halfords, which is cheaper and they will always be able to fix it if anything goes wrong, and you can try it out before you buy it. It has 700c wheels, which are a bit bigger than the Amazon bike, so if you're tiny, a 26" or even 24" wheeled bike might be better. http://www.halfords.com/cycling/bikes/classic-bikes/pendleton-somerby-electric-bike-white-navy-17-19-frames?cm_mmc=Google+PLA-_-Bikes-_-Classic+Bikes-_-279718&istCompanyId=b8708c57-7a02-4cf6-b2c0-dc36b54a327e&istItemId=xwqxaaatlm&istBid=tzpr&_$ja=tsid:94971|cid:1079451324|agid:52161937149|tid:aud-80976661549:pla-329129164059|crid:255442606252|nw:g|rnd:9216958343532980790|dvc:c|adp:1o1|mt:|loc:1007151&gclid=Cj0KCQjwy9LVBRDOARIsAGqoVnsKgTdPzoDQLSPASEgrR4Bgt7Ywv1SffrjQdZ-ZzQtAsuFcrDa5-okaApi8EALw_wcB
