Hi all,

I'm taking delivery of my Woosh Camino on Monday and need to order a bike lock. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

I probably want a Sold Secure Gold lock as lots of insurance policies seem to insist on this. I'll be using the lock at home in the shed and at work in the work bike shed so I'll need to take it out and about with me. Lots of locks seem to be D or U locks but I'm not sure whether I'll be able to fit one of those on the Camino's frame.

Any advice of something suitable would be appreciated!

Thanks,

David

I have an onguard pitbull, its big and heavy, looks well made though I believe one has to oil the lock mechanism as its prone to seizing if maintenance is skipped.
Amy lock is easily be breached with a angle grinder.
I went for a substantial looking lock which would put off all but the pro thieves.

Many years ago I came across a motorbike lock which featured the usual chain, but it was contained in a sleeve made from kevlar and ballistic nylon [the same as what chainsaw trousers are made of] Any power tool would snarl up on the outer sleeve ages before reaching the inner tempered steel chain.
Never seen anything like it since.

Yes, I've also got a New York (from my brother) Kyptonite D lock.
Heavy but so far served me. It can get sticky if caught in the rain,
I wouldn't lubricate the key hole (that mostly turns Ok thankfully) but it can stick at the two entry holes for the U part when releasing.

I have a frame lock permanently on the back wheel and use a disk lock on one of the disks. Both are very difficult to get an angle grinder in due to the pin locations.
