what are sub C cells like?
I have found packs that put out around 30 amps, 12v, 3.7ah, and I want to get 15 of them to make an 18.4ah 10kg battery, to put on a back rack.

will it be possible to find a suitable charger? would it be worth it?

Sub C size cells seem to be fairly common nowadays, particularly in packs for cordless drills. I have successfully recelled several of those.

That experience with cordless drills though does demonstrate that there is an enormous range in the quality of cells on the market. A battery pack from a top range make aimed at professional users costs more than a cheap drill and battery combined, and its not all down branding and image.

There are plenty of NiCd and NiMH chargers about, working on various principles.

Say I get 150 cells in 10 cell packs, should I just ask the guy to weigh some of the same weight and send them over? what's the best option for a charger and embedding the thermostat thingy?
