Help! Speedbox.

Hello all, I've been reading up about the Speedbox tuning dongles of late and at first I thought "WOW" this is great, but after reading a few reviews about them, I would think twice about purchasing one.
Examples of the motor going into limp mode after so many miles, mainly with Bosch motors, not sure about Yamaha, Shimano or Brose.

Has anybody had any such experiences with one of these Dongles?

if you wire any dongle in to a motor a software update could brick it and stop it working but cant say i have seen anyone on here have it happen to them yet.

a bad ass dongle clips on to the speed sensor and can be removed in seconds but will show half speed on the display.

i've a speedbox on a bosch gen 2 CX for 20k km. no issues at all. bit of funkyness around the wired in lights that were fitted after the speedbox but no issue once figured out.
