Hello All,

I have a Momentum Model T and I love it. It is a little low geared at the moment and want to swap the rear sprocket from the original 18 tooth to a 16 tooth.

Does anyone know where the speed sensor is on the Model T? Is it in the crankcase/tourque sensor or the electric motor on the front wheel?

Thank you

Most probably in the motor.

Bad luck!

You can check if the sensor is in the wheel because it would have a magnet clipped to one of the spokes, but even if there is a wheel sensor, changing the gearing wouldn't change the cut-off speed. You'd have to put on bigger wheels.

No wheel sensor - so it must be either
  1. a cadance sensor in the crank (where the tourque sensor is) or
  2. a sensor within the front hub motor itself or
  3. a combination of hub rotation sensor and controller setting
