speed limiter override

Featured Replies

I know this is a bit naughty, possibly even illegal, but is there some way I can override the speed limiter on my electric bike?

Depends on controller, but on mine there was a grey wire that came out and back in again. There was a single connector, so I broke the loop.

On 250 watt it won't make much difference though. (prob 2-3 mph)

Hi, Yep this would be illegal but possible.

Im just trying to do research into increasing the power going to the motor. Looks like you need a controller and probably a better battery. This should give a bit more speed. Also illegal though but the motor still has the 250w sticker on so unles they carry around electrical equipment they will never know.
