Or, things that have come loose...

Rear spokes, started coming loose after just a few hundred miles and a couple of long 30+ mile days without a spoke tool caused an alarming wheel wobble. Local bike shops refused to touch it as wheel can't be removed to go on the jig for trueing without having to reset the electronics or something so I had to do it myself (or take to a Sparta mechanic). Did this carefully and for the last few hundred miles it has been ok, I now check the spokes regularly and tighten any loose ones. Not a job for the faint hearted but it's ok.

Left pedal bearings have worn badly, causing creaking, now tightened as best as possible but pedals will have to be replaced at some point.

Brake pads nearing the wear limit too, I could use the regen feature but it doesn't really suit my riding as I like the long coasts.

The electronics...no sign of the early power setting fault where it would sometimes only go to power level 3. Strange one that was. ION motor is super quiet and does its thing, I had forgotten what a quiet ride it is with all the recent creaking noises gone (apart from the seat post!). I do worry about the wiring, the one connecting the display seems so thin and exposed. Time will tell. I spray WD40 around if there has been a downpour.

Removing the display all the time is wearing the display mounting, It even fell off recently when I hit a bump going downhill, not good, need to bodge some kind of solution to prevent this.

The Torx rack screws became loose on one side, and one morning were missing completely, although I do wonder if someone had tampered with it to try and take the battery...I had left it in a bad place.

I stored the bike for a few weeks due to circumstances and the tyres went below pressure and the battery depleted but with a full recharge and pump up it's all been good on that front.

Side stand keeps coming loose and with heavy panniers it's fallen over a couple of times because of this.

I just think, it's a heavy bike at the rear, especially with fully loaded panniers, and what with the state of the roads stuff will come loose, I just carry tools around now if on a trip.

50 miles on full assist is the limit of the battery, less if hill climbing, the low gear is hilariously low and hardly ever used, I think I've been down to maybe 8mph climbing the steepest of hills around here. 28mph going down the other side! Top gear spins out at around 20mph but that's fine for me.

So, just a bit more maintenance than my last regular bike really. I try not to worry about it and just have fun because that's what I bought it for, heck it even handles off road cycling tracks...

Next big trip is all round the IoW, hoping to do it in 1 day and on 1 charge.

The manual with my bike says I'm to check the spokes after about 500 miles and tighten any loose ones.

I'm sure I use my e bike more than my old bike and it will need more maintenance, and having more component's there's more to check.

Still it sounds like you're having fun anyhow.
