Finding my (electric) wheels

Hi Everyone, I have a Sparta Ion GL, it doesn't work! It's pedal assist only, no throttle. The battery is showing fully charged, it has no fault codes, it displays the power assist mode on the screen but I have no pedal assist on any level. I've done a self calibration which says it's fine but it still doesn't work. I've looked for the pedelec sensor but there doesn't appear to be one and there doesn't appear to be any switches on the brakes either.

Does anybody have any experience with these?

Sounds like it might be TS sensor if one can carry out self calibration.
The BB will be a wired model so could be a faulty BB or motor controller.
Afaik they aren't user servicable via fault diagnosis as some comm's are involved, needs a dealer to plug in.

Thanks for this, would you happen to know if there are any dealers still in the UK?

I don't know of any remaining, Sparta specialist Drakes of Cambridge have been closed for some while.

However the following bike dealer specialising in Dutch bikes used to be a Sparta specialist too so worth contacting to check if they are still going:

Amsterdammers, Brighton

There is only one dealer left in the UK, Dutch Bike Shop in Littlehampton, West Sussex. Paul and Brian who own it are really helpful, have the software and can get parts from the Netherlands. They used to sell Dutch bikes until......well, you know the rest. I bought two Batavus bikes from them, and they also look after my Sparta Ion. Near the station, or you can post your bike, as some customers have been doing. Highly recommended.
