Hi All

I'm trying to find a battery to match my existing one but struggling to locate one.

The model numbers are not bring anything up and the ones I am seeing on places like AliExpress seem to have e the connector in the middle. One of the labels tell me it is a 36v 13.6Ah. When i searched the other number on the batteryI've seem some references to internal batteries that make this unit up.

I've attached some photos if anyone can help. Just trying to see if i can get a cheaper after market second spare battery. The reason for the spare is that this is for my sons wheel chair.

Thanks

Show pictures of the whole battery and its mount. That way someone might recognise the case type. If it is a generic system i.e. no communication connection with the battery, that is all you need to know.

if just the 2x power connections are fed out it could be one of the hailong mounts in this ad?

edit whoops battery not mount..
most if not all batteries will come with a suitable mount so if replacing a dead battery not a big issue unless wanting to use both old and new batteries alternating.

The ad above suggests your battery is type "hailong G80 box"

This is the full battery.

Getting a photo of the mount is harder it is attached to a wheelchair in place hard to photograph.

I'm not swapping but wanting to buy a spare second battery to extend the range.

Looks like a DP-4C Polly battery to me , one can see them at topbikekit.com.

Aside from the charging port and power button, my battery case looks the same, the mount has the same number of pins as the one pictured above. Perhaps battery and mount positive and negative wires and connections are the same way around as these from PSWPower? Best ask PSWPower about physical compatibility (check measurements) and polarity before buying, and test for matching battery connector polarity with a multimeter, before slotting the new battery into the old mount.

I am no expert on cases and mounts, but I know a few names used by the generic battery market. Hailong and Shark are two of them.

Yours may be a Shark, hopefully someone more knowledgeable can confirm... Here's an image of a Shark mount.

But there are other Shark types too. Often a product listing online will show the mount as well as the battery.

Be careful which supplier you choose. There are safety warnings out for some batteries from some suppliers at the cheaper end of the spectrum. Pswpower and Greenlance seem to get good reviews here. UPP seem to have some problem products.

Hailong and Polly cases look similar , the Polly though looks to be the closer option when you look at the bat1 jpg pic.

Chinese battery cases seem to have arbitrary names: Shark, Jumbo Shark, Haillong, Jellyfish, Octopus Hat or whatever for similar looking products. Mine was referred to as "Shark" by the seller of my kit. When I was looking for a battery base to slot my ebike battery into, to power the sound system and lights in my off-grid shed, I went by mount measurements instead. Sadly not all sellers provide measurements in listings, and many don't know anything about what they're selling or reselling, but I found one on ebay eventually.

From the PSWPower website:

You can use any battery you want if you have an external controller because the battery is supplied with the base. Just unscrew the old base and screw on the new one. In the worst case, you might need to insert a new rivnut or two. It's only when you have an integrated controller that you have to worry about which base and which connector you have.

Seems like a mind field. I was hoping to just buy a second battery and use the existing mount. So i could hot swap them whilst out on longer drives with our sons wheel chair. It may be safer for me to go to the chair manufacturer but more expensive.
