July 26, 20232 yr Hi just got a 2nd hand bike for my wife which rides well but seem to have a battery issue. Sits at 20% (not flashing) after several hours so suspect its sat uncharged fully for some time. Checked on Halfords site but saying new battery not currently avaialble on line which seems odd but seeing others on ebay but dont know which are compatable if indeed any are. Any advice for a newbe to ebikes would be appreciated
July 26, 20232 yr You need to fully charge and then measure the battery voltage with a voltmeter. Of the two common Pendleton battery types, one of them left 1 LED lit only to show it was "on"; you had to press the button for state of charge. AFAIK, both types have/had a sleep function when not used after a few hours requiring you long press the button to wake it up. You need to read your manual to determine which yours is and it's operational quirks. Yose Power sell both battery types if you're really convinced you need a new one.
July 26, 20232 yr I've just got a seconhand Pendleton as well, and am very pleased with it.......as already stated Yose do have a battery that will fit, but you have to make sure you get the right one, as they changed batteries in 2018/19 I think..........
November 5, 20232 yr I have searched for a new battery for a pendleton somerby (earlier model) and finally struck gold on Ali Express. It has now arrived, been charged up and works just fine! If anybody needs a new battery (same sort/size/fittings etc.) Go on to Ali Express and search: Phylion Joycube SF-03 36V About £190. Hope this helps somebody.
