Had not really paid much attention to the round world solar flight project until it said on news they was attempting to fly from Nanjing to Hawaii.
I went onto their interesting website solarimpulse.com found myself hooked watching the telemetry of the aircraft peformance in the air flying across the pacific.
Bad weather has forced them to land for now but when they take off again it's worth following the planes progress, if you log in around 8.50pm just before sunrise you can see the depletion of the battery's from the night time flight.
As soon as the sun breaks the horizon the solar panels start working after about 2 hours the plane is flying on solar power and recharging the batteries.
As I work nights I kept finding myself checking my phone hourly to follow it's progress quite addictive when your job is as boring as mine.
