I came across this bike today on my 100 mile ride.
The rider (can't remember his real name) a non native uses the name solar cyclist on facebook.
Base bike is a Dahon with an array of wiring as can be seen, as soon as I saw it for some reason the word 'Cwah' came to mind .
The guy was a nice chap and I spent some 30/or 40 ins chatting to him.
The array of panels produce about 80w of power for charging, in a little over an hour the 19.2ah whale battery had managed to gain 2v of charge from 35v to 37v on a dull cloudy day.
Another battery is strapped to the head tube
This is how the bike is ridden with rear panels ready to collect any rays
