Smarta battery recall

Anyone know why some of Electric Bike Sales Smarta bikes are have a battery recall. Is it just a precaution or are there serious problems? They are expecting me to drop off and pick up two batteries and I live an hour and a half away so if don't want the disruption if I can wait and do it when I'm going to be out their way in any case.
