Hi,

I bought a lithium battery electric bike, but the problem is that I cannot ship it by air from the UK to the U.S. or really anywhere else. Or at least I can't ship the battery. That would have to go by sea.

So, I am now wondering about a Fold and Go Three Speed Electric Trike with an SLA battery. I realise SLA batteries are heaver, but I could ship the trike by air, right? I live in the UK, but travel back to the U.S. once a year and would like to have the trike to go grocery shopping. I also go sometimes to Turkey and could use it go get around the town I visit. I am a senior and not looking to go great distances. Just to grocery store, library, or dog shelter.

Here is the web site:
http://www.truebicycles.com/contents/en-us/d135_Fold_and_Go_Three_Speed_Electric_Trike.html

So, the question is: Can I take the trike with me as checked luggage when I go abroad since it is SLA and not lithium.

Thanks.

Eileen

Oh, I see. I didn't realise it would weigh so much. Thanks for the reply. I think I will get a non-electric folding bike. Thanks
