Evening, throttle jockeys!

Not posted for yonks, and couldn't seem to log on. Lost pasword! So I now have a new name - eBoy! Just reporting on my Pro Rider e-Wayfarer folder, which I've had for two and a half to three years now, and it's still going strong. I think it's the best thing I've ever bought! It's in regular use, and the battery still seems as good as new. I take care to charge it after a trip, but quite often, on a camping trip, say, it's been left for several days without charging. To avoid jolting the battery, I always move off by pedalling and letting the sensor kick in; only using the throttle when already on the move.

Anyone been on a Skyride? They have huge gatherings in various cities during the summer, but if you go onto goskyride.com you can find plenty of small, local rides. Just tap in your location and bob's your uncle. The fellow participants don't seem to object to electric bikes - in fact they usually want to try it out!

Keep kool, dudes! Johnny B

Hi Johnny
Some time ago I got registered and then as far as the booking in page for one local ride only to find a restriction on all powered bikes. (Hidden somewhere in the rules)
There may be some ride leader discretion ( should you contact them )
But I was sitting on the fence wether or not to join them any how as it meant a 12 mile ride to the start followed by a 15 mile sykride and then another 12 miles home. All easily doable on my cube:) But not on my un-powered bike.
I really like the idea of sykride, one day I'll get off my butt and start asking about the restrictions
I'll be interested to hear how you get on ;)

I've done loads on my electric bike, even the big city ones with no one saying a thing. In fact I've sold a few bikes to people attending!
