Size matters a great deal when buying a bike.

I tried a small and medium Giant electric step-through over the weekend.

The medium was very agreeable, comfy, pulled reasonably well, I just felt at home with it.

It's on the shortlist.

Same bike in small was cramped, I took an instant dislike to it and will not be buying one.

A big difference to me, but the only difference in the bikes was the size.

It's something that's often overlooked in the 'what bike?' threads on here

Size and fit of the bike has a huge impact on the riding experience.

For me, I've gone totally off big bikes and think smaller is better for e-bikes, primarily because you want to be able to take your precious e-bike with you wherever you go, rather than leave it chained up somewhere, also the freedom to virtually go anywhere on trains etc. I know small wheel bikes (especially Brompton) have their fans here..

One thing I would say, regardless of bike size, is that the saddle height and riding position can make a huge difference but is often over looked..people often ride with it too low as I did for ages..when you adjust it and find your optimal height that's right for you, the bike can feel totally different and a much easier ride.
