Our Woosh Zephyr B bikes have SIS Shimano gears, I read on the forum that people suggest you should cut the motor when changing gear, should I have to do that with mine?

Short answer: no

Long answer: if you have a throttle (heaven forbid ) ease off like when you are riding your motorbike

I have SIS gears with a lovely clickety click trigger shifter and do not ease off on the pedals even when changing up. This combination has stopped me even thinking I need hub gears it so so efficient and easy to use.

Top tip: when riding your pedelec change gear as often as is required by riding conditions. I started out relying too much on the motor to do all the grunt work and didn't change very often. Changing often, being in the right gear at all times and in the right assistance level improves range - or in my case same range but higher average speed.
