The only way that really hurts these criminals is to sue them for every penny one can get out of them, the law in sentencing is very poor in this country .
Prison isn't the answer but very heavy community service for a whole year or two and much larger fines to affect there life style might make them think why ?

Instant driving bans should be a minimum of one year and as well as a driving retest including the theory exams, it should be compulsory for these morons to take cycle courses to experience hiw vulnerable it feels to be a cyclist.

For those that kill or seriously maim then the ban should be a life ban, but then again once one is caught D/D one time then they shouldn't be allowed behind a wheel again.

I might just go with a thicker foam layer. Less chance of it getting smashed through your skull as it tries to decelerate your brain.

Fleets are worried, and rightly so because presumably, a successful prosecution by the Police increases the likelyhood of civil lawsuits resulting in payouts. With the HWC changes, perhaps accidents with cyclists will also have a bearing on their insurance terms? Hurting drivers through their wallets, may be the only way to change their behaviour.
