Server upgrade

We've moved the site across to a new server this lunchtime. As usual in the world of I.T., there are a couple of gremlins (mainly the poll section) which we are trying to resolve.

I'd just composed a long detailed reply to a PM, clicked Send, and the server change started at that instant!

And yes, you've guessed, when the site came back online, my reply was nowhere to be seen. :(

So my long suffering keyboard has just come in for a duplicate bashing, not to mention my brain wracking to remember what I'd typed this morning.

Having suffered a few similar incidents I always type long posts in notepad or MS Word (saving frequently) and then copy and paste the finished reply.

I sometimes do that as well, but sods law intervened this time!

Sorry about that Flecc, I did have a look on the old server afterwards but I couldn't see the message!

No prob Russ. I was sure it got lost at that instant the way it vanished, perfectly synchronised timing which couldn't be repeated in a million years!
