Schwalbe Energizer Pro is a special tyre for electric bikes. I fitted one to the back wheel of my Rocky Mountain with a Marathon Plus on the front. It's got the puncture guard like the Marathon Plus.

On my last bike, I had a Schwalbe City Jet on the back. The bike had the same motor with the same power. After 1000 miles, the tyre was more or less worn out. I have now completed 1000 miles on my new bike and the Energizer still looks like new; however, you can't get something for nothing. The downside is that it doesn't give a lot of grip. It let go at least once every day. Bumpy roundabouts are the worse. All the slimy salt on the roads didn't help much either, but I guess the main reason for the lack of grip is that it's a hard compound. We'll have to see what it's like in the summer before passing final judgement. I can't remember the City Jet letting go once, and they're not noted for their grip either. I didn't get any punctures with either tyre, so I can't really draw any conclusions there, other than that I've been lucky.

I am surprised that my Schwalbe marathon deluxe give such a good grip on ice. They show little wear at 5000 miles too, but I bet stopping would be a little anxious.

i wiped out totally a few weeks ago on icy gravel on a bike with "schwalbe marathon plus touring" - see here http://www.schwalbe.com/gb/tour-reader/marathon-plus-tour.html
it was very surprising the lack of grip - it has deeper thread than standard marathon plus, i think fatter is better - i used to have the fattest big apples there were and they provided huge grip

Loving the Schwalbe snow tires at the moment - don't care if they wear out and only last for one winter as long as I stay upright and don't wipe out. Haven't had any real issues since putting them on (better in winter than marathon plus). does sometimes feel slightly unstable, but then my bike is a 22" frame with 700c tyres and over 6" of seatost coming out the top. (and frog battery, so it's bound to be very top heavy and unstable. I think it's doing very well in this weather. Would love to drop the battery down into the rack or frame, but not sure how to mount it. I'm sure this would improve stability and thus cornering speed in this terrible weather as the tires inspire confidence - the stability of the bike on cornering doesn't!
