Just wanted to know about the new sanyo ezee battery.
Got the feeling someone may have tested or bought this battery already !
If so are all the cutout issues and other issues being addressed with this new battery.
Also has the warrenty being extended from the old 6month cover on the battery.
As you may tell I may well order a Torq within the next few weeks if the ezee supplier in up and running.

Pink Floyd is using one of these and reports it as superb. It uses the same cells as the Panasonic one so should be very good anyway, judging by the history on those. Cut-out is now impossible, since it never drops to the red LED until the battery is finally empty.

I'll be buying one of the eZee Sanyo batteries later this year for use on my two bikes. I think the guarantee remains at 6 months, not that I'm bothered, since the battery will last very much longer than that anyway.

As you know Flecc in January this year, the only thing that stopped me buying the torq was the issues with the battery and its life.

I thought the Torq was the best bike as far as a hub motor bike was going.
Lots of fun, though not completely a conventional bike compared to the Pro-Connect, but definatley a car beater in every sense, dont you agree?

Have cyclepoint got a startup date yet?

I think for me its a race to the delivery line between the Torq and the Pro-Connect for May 2008.
Which one will win !

Thanks for the usual help Flecc.

Regards Bob

I'm seeing Rhys Mortimer of Cyclepoint on Thursday so I'll have a better idea of the start up date them, though I think he may already be in a position to supply. Anyway you'll know by the end of the week.

As you know, they are very different character e-bikes, the Torq biased more to being a motorised bike, and definitely a car beater in the sense you mean it.

One thing I really want to know Flecc, that isn't on the website is the service/backup for the bikes.
ie what happens for repairs and warrenty issues.
If you could ask him from a customer if he will sell additional services like 50cycles 2 year pickup/drop off service.
With the shop being so far away from Sheffield and all.

If so and he can deliver soon, he already may have a deal on his hands.

Regards Bob.
P.S Have a nice meal with them both on Thursday and good luck from us all !
