I'm not surprised, Australia is very legalistic in so many ways, their police can be very intolerant and their immigration policy is widely criticised for it's harshness. Perhaps it's subconciously wanting to compensate for their country's "convict" origins by being beyond reproach.

They'll probably take out a contract on me now! :rolleyes:

Australia is a massive nanny state, but what the government is doing to immigrant in our name is far from universally approved of.
It has been a long term campaign of vilification and using words like illegal's to describe them trying to sway public opinion.
Fortunately people are starting to see past this and realise how badly we have treated immigrants.

Don't get me started on the law changes that have seen major loss of freedoms and privacy.

Oh, and I most certainly have recklessly broken rule 242 often :)
