Any ideas? looking for quiet routes rather than the shortest, busy, car routes
selected on the i phone maps. Thanks.
I had the same criteria in mind so the first thing was to go onto the council website and see if they do any cycling maps... the ones I got from the councils in my area were superb... I got eight superb maps for free from Northumberland down to Durham. We are fortunate to have the C2C route local to me but it mightn't be much use to you as I don't know the area you need routes for!Any ideas? looking for quiet routes rather than the shortest, busy, car routes
selected on the i phone maps. Thanks.
I found that Google doesn't always pick up the cycle routes it was always telling me to turn around when on a cycle track that ran adjacent to a dual carriageway and was attempting to force me on to the dual carriagewayJust use Google maps in your phone. Click on the menu and select "Cycling". It then shows all the cycle paths and routes, and uses them to navigate.
Did you have it set to "Cycling"?I found that Google doesn't always pick up the cycle routes it was always telling me to turn around when on a cycle track that ran adjacent to a dual carriageway and was attempting to force me on to the dual carriageway
Maybe it's because I live in a rural area
