I've given my venerable eHopper to a friend, and treated myself to Rich Bit's latest 2018 electric mountain bike. 48v 1000W Panasonic battery, seven PAS modes and one unregulated which one can't use on the public road. Range on the flat about 25 miles. Alloy frame with three-spoke magnesium wheels and stubbly Kenda tyres. 21-speed Shimano gears. I've got the white/red one and the looks are stunning.

I'm searching but can't find that one. Got a link?

In my bit of South Wales, I see police cars and vans more frequently than anywhere else I have ever lived! Think it would the exception when I go anywhere without seeing at least one.

(Maybe the fact that I pass the police station on the way to and from work helps :) - but I think to would be true even if I discount those sitings.

But here in South Wales, I am not too sure that we still have a Police Force, haven't seen any for ages.
You too eh? Last time I got pulled in my van (serves me right for being out in a transit at midnight), it was about 5or 6 years ago. One gut was from Manchester, the other from Liverpool. I just thought they were on some sort of stress relieving break!

Must say I like the look of it, almost like a vintage motor cycle.
No prissy messing about to look stealth like an ordinary bike.
BUT
1000watts, with those looks I bet you would get stopped very quickly if there were any Police about.

That 1000W is the battery. Motor power is 250W. I've only used speed setting 0 which acts as a conventional pedelec. I've tried speed 1 which results in max of 10mph but I don't like riding without turning the pedals.
