Revos kit

Does anyone have proof that the revos drive chews up tyres.? I appreciate its going to add to tyre wear, but no idea on how much in real terms.
Or maybe a tyre that they have used is helping reduce such tyre wear.
Looking for ebike kit that's easier to swap to other bikes and light enough like revos.
I only travel 10-15 miles mainly road and canal side. So this kit is ideal in terms of use with more difficult conditions, but I like the bike to be used as much as normal as possible. Revos is fairly useless at answering emails, so thought I'd try here. Thanks

Any friction drive will depending on the tyre.
I used a light knobbly WTB Riddler on my Gravel bike, the Revos ate the centre smooth with in 300 odd miles. I replaced it with Specialised 2Bliss Pathfinder Pro, the difference the 2Bliss has a central 10mm smooth raised centre that doesn't wear as easy as the knobbly bits would do.

Friction drives need a smooth tyre section, there are tyres and then there are tyres.
Any knobbly center on a tyre is just no good, so select a suitable tyre as I have mentioned.

Thanks for the recommendation on tyre, fully understand the smooth ridge section being of importance. Its on a hybrid, so no knobbly bits. Appreciate your reply thank you.

Yeah I see they was going to be on, probably agree with the statement price is too high, though choice of friction devices are limited. Revos says a new product is going to be announced, so waiting to see what that is.. Could be a long wait though.. Bit like a reply email from them.
