Does anyone know if you can fit a revo motor to a Brompton? It's a friction drive

Yep I know all the disadvantages but it is very small, lightweight and very cheap indeed (offered to me at 70 Inc charger and battery!)

But forget the battery, I'd biuld my own very small one as it needs to do 5 miles of commuting max (couple of times a week)

Will it fit?

Thanks!

I have a Revos on my 700c gravel bike and rather like it, had it now for 2 years as new (part of the Kickstarter). The motor controller is in the battery carrier base so you can't just use any battery with out the carrier base. The small Revos battery is only 100wh. Any bike needs approx. 60mm clearance taken off the tyre at a right angle to the frame. One will need to cut the mudguard if fitted.

At £70 it is a bargain.

Thank you Nealh, very helpful and noted the controller is in the base, does make any battery mods a bit irreversible

It will chew up any tyre with knobbly bits, so need one with smooth centre .
