Hi, this is on ebay here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Electric-bike-retrofit-conversion-kit-Heinzmann-wheel-controller-amp-battery-/222476261281?
I bought this kit originally in 2008 for a very heavy tandem: http://dutchbike.co.uk/Family4.htm. It worked really well on the hills in Bristol (steep) but we stopped using it in 2013 (kids had own bikes). In 2014 we used it for my wife's bike but I had selected it for its hill climbing ability not its speed (plus not silent) so we switched her bike to a different motor.
I have checked it and it worked first time which impressed me as one of the niggles I had was, as you can see from the pictures, you need to tape the connections because otherwise they wobble loose. As we'll never use it we are going to sell it for charity, the charger alone is worth maybe £60-£70 new (see other companies listings).
The controller says 36V 28A, the battery it came with says 37V 5.2Ah, as you can see in the pictures, don't know why but it works.
It comes with a throttle but not a pedal sensor (I just used it to boost me up the hills rather than permanent assist). Although pedal sensors are available.
Have kept the battery out of direct sunlight (apparently lithium ion doesn't like high temperatures) but there is always the chance you will need to replace or repower the battery before the motor wears out (I bought a Heinzmann based on their reliability in a market awash with cheap imitations).
You'll need to collect or arrange a courier but there is usually one of us at home so that should be straightforward. If you want to work out the rough cost of transport: all of it weighs 8.3kg, no more than 30cm high and the width of a standard wheel square (plus the packaging).
Any questions just ask and this is all for charity so please bid generously! ;-)
