Recently taken delivery of a brilliant 2022 Cube Kathmandu EXC in Black and Silver. It's a lovely bike and probably a good catch for bike thieves. I have purchased a diamond rated D-Lock but want to secure the wheels, saddle and seat stem as well. I've been looking at a variety of products (Hexlox, Pinhead, Pitstop) and there are pros and cons with each.

Interested in any experiences others have had with these products and in particular, if anyone knows the length and thread pitch of the thru axles on this model so I know what I need to purchase as secure replacements. I know the front fork has an SR Suntour 15AH2-110 FKA117-00 (maybe boost?) axle so I'm assuming this is 15mm diameter but don't know how long or the thread pitch. I think the back thru axle is longer and 12mm diameter but nothing more than that.

I know I could remove the axles for measurement but, it's been a long time since I worked on bikes and I'd rather not chance putting them back incorrectly and messing up the disk brakes or something else.

So, does anyone know the dimesnions of the front and rear thru axles (length, thread pitch and diameter) or has had experience of securing the bike using the products above or others? Any help greatfully appreciated!

you will need to take it out or ask cube what it is but thread pitch must be right for that frame!

Thanks for the info. Have you any other suggestions on how I might secure the wheels (apart from carrying a second lock :))

i dont leave my bike anywhere so i have never bought any locks for it as most can be broken in seconds and all will fail given enough time no matter how much they cost.
