Hi Guys, I need to replace an Ananda MC5-B0 36v 250W controller and its display, maintaining remaining engine and battery.
I would like to upgrade to a newer product with more functions, especially the display...
Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance
Ronaldo

We always recommend a KT (Kuenteng) S06S 6 FET controller or if you have space a SO9S 9 FET controller, LCD wise one can use any KT LCD all are compatible.
The controllers use current control rather then the cheaper speed control systems.

There are approx . 10 LCD's to select from the LCD3 to LCD 11.
AliExp , Topbikekit , BMSBattery, PSWPower & Greenbikekit are the popular places to purchase from.

One may have to make some wiring alterations.

I doubt that you'll find any replacement that has matching connectors, so you're going to have to do a bit of soldering. Are you OK with that? Otherwise, show us which connectors you have.

The good thing about the KT is one doesn't have to change PAS level to get a faster speed, each PAS level gives the user the option of how much power to apply for the terrain and effort one want's to input .

The speed controllers typically give 100% power in each level and tapers off as one approachs the levels cut off speed.
The KT current control give a proportion of power that each PAS level provides,
the range being 13, 20 , 33, 50 & 100% of power. One selects the power level for ones preferred terrain, fitness or needs.
Typically I use PAS1 13% of power as that is all the additional power I need on flatish terrain.

Since I have started using KT controllers, I have been using less assist than before - partly it is psychological - my previous controller was level 1 20%, 2 40%, 3 60%, 4 80% and 5 100% . I noticed I was using a reasonably steep incline today on level 3 (33%) - I am sure i would have tackled the same incline with the old controller on level 3 (60%) ! I notice an improvement in my fitness.

Yes cycling fitness will improve using less current /power, one just has to put in a little more effort .
Since my teens when I had undiagnosed asthma , I always found pedalling took some effort, the advent of EAPC's makes pedalling that much easier. A mere 13% aided effort from the KT controller makes riding so much more comfortable.
