The LCD on my ebike is broken, it doesn't display. It functions in that you can power the bike on, runs just fine, but you don't get to see speed or anything.

I tried to purchase a replacement, and I chose the S866 as it seemed like it had the same connector and same buttons and one forum I read a post saying they had used it to replace the same LCD I have which is the KM529.

I hooked up the S866, and I get E10.
I researched what that means and it might need to adjust P20 in the settings of the S866 - however, when I go into the settings I only have P01 to P17. The others above that don't exist on my S866.

Is it possible that the S866 doesn't work with my controller? Is P20 hidden or missing or something?

The system is a 500W 48v

Here's a picture of the controller:

The s866 seem to vary in commands one can get with the P settings so one assumes it is just incompatible. E10 comms can also be anything from a dodgy wire or connection to failed hall sensors.

I wonder if you enter the password if it might unlock the P settings you need, I have no idea myself, just a thought, and you have nothing to lose.
