So, I have this lovely B&M dynamo light that it clearly says is for dynamo use only.
Its one with a standlight function (for minimal & basic lighting when you are not moving at traffic lights).
Now, the thing is...it is rated as 6V 2.4W but If I connect it up to a 7.5V DC P.S. it draws 0.37A and boy is it bright (2.25W) and it does get a bit warm. My question is...
As I am planning to use a DC-DC buck converter off my main battery, can I safely run this "Dynamo only" (6v AC) light on DC forever? If so I can buy another one (same) for the other side of my tadpole trike and run a rear red light (with standlight) that I already have as well (which would be...errr.....good.
Or am I dreaming?
