Regarding PAS system which got 4 wires, Please kindly help me

Hi, I new in ebike world, I hope someone from here will be kind enough to help me. My old ebike controller is damage, I had brought a new one, but i notice old Pedal assist system is using 4 wires and which the new ebike controller is using 3 wire Pedal assist system. So the question, can I still use back the old senor which has 4 wire to my new ebike controller only allow 3 wire PAS system. Please kindly reply me ASAP and your help will be very much appreciated. Thanks you.

Answer is no, so buy a new PAS sensor with three wires. They are cheap enough to buy to do the job properly.
