Recreational trike ride.

I took my KMX trike out for a fun ride today. I went from Portsmouth up to Farlington Marshes and then across to Hayling Island and down the Hayling Billy line and back to Portsmouth by ferry.

I stopped off at a chip shop next to Morrisons up the Eastern Road and got some lovely fish and chips that I ate by the water side. The GPS didn't like it much when I was in the shop and shows me zipping around like a dememnted ant for the duration I was there.

The sun was mostly obscured by cloud but it wasnt too cool and was just right for a leisurely ride.

What a lovely place to ride, I looked the route up on Google earth as it looked so nice (I love the water) and almost dead flat as well, perfect.

It was lovely, indeed. Gentle undulations that were barely noticed. It was such a nice ride and I didn't feel inclined to push it at all. Pootled along for the most part. Next time I'm going to take me a packed lunch - but I'm sure I burnt off the fish and chips.

The ferry took the trike easily and getting it on and off was easy, too. I'd recommend it to anyone in the area. Can start wherever is convenient as it's a loop.
