Hi,

Before i made the horrible mistake of buying an unknown bike off eBay i thought it best to seek some advice before throwing money on an electric bike which i know little about seen as it would be my first eCycle!

I'm looking for an electric bike under £700 ideally, Naturally if something better is say £770+ please also feel free to recommend it. Within reason anyway i'm not looking for one in the thousands.

It would primarily be used for leisure purposes on country roads with a fair amount of hills, So it needs to be Comfortable, Powerful enough, Reliable, Faster the better but 15mph is more than ample, Range 20-25 miles or more.

I'm not interested in making a bike with a kit or anything like that i wouldn't have the time let alone the patience.

Ummm... I can't think of anything else to add at this time. Apart from i like a bike where i can sit upright comfortably to take in the views etc...

I'm in the N.Wales region if it helps also.

Thanks

Very good idea not to buy a £700 ebike on eBay. You need proper backup. Good idea to post here. I think at 700 with hills you're into kits or doing a lot of hard pedalling, one or the other. It's a bit short of what a good already-assembled 'climber' costs although there are some retailers who post on here who may be able to correct me. Ebike mechanics will I gather assemble a kit for £100.

Hi...consider one of the better, crank driven, Woosh bikes.
I've had 7 ebikes and overall, including price, my favourite by far, was the Woosh Sirocco CD, which I believe has now been improved upon and is now the Krieger.
...cheers....Mike

the cheapest ready built is the £779 Woosh Santana-CDL that has climbing power and range:
