Recognize this? Any Good?

Close to buying a Bafang BBS-01. Just spotted this on ebay and wondered if anyone knows if these kits are any good? My immediate observations are that it's a brushed motor (don't know if that's necessarily bad, but all the recommended kits seem to be brushless) and brake levers with cut-off switches aren't included

Thanks Trex, Good point about the ground clearance. Yes, forgot to note that there's no pedal sensor and thought brushed motors were probably less desirable.

Another good point - I think some of the appeal of electric bikes lies in quiet operation

You also end up with too low gearing because of the chainwheel size especially on a bike with small wheels.

Thanks d8veh. It's great there are so many knowledgeable and helpful people on this forum. I had my doubts about this kit, but that's the nail in it's coffin! I'll keep on saving my pennies for the BBS-01
