This argument on the price of a decent bell, applies equally to the price of e-bikes. Those that can afford to, will do.

That's partially true. One thing I can say, though, is that those cheap bring-bring bells are a complete waste of time and money. Most have plastic levers that break in no time. The others literally fall apart half way through your ride.
