Are there any kits where the wheel recharges the battery?
Cycling provides so much kinetic energy, I am surprised that we don't recharge our batteries as we go.
It doesn't workout in practice.
You only get some power down hill when most of us like to go wheeee.
Most energy is lost to wind resistance. Little spare etc.
Yes it provides energy to go forwards! A charger requires 42 V and 2 A current, that is a BIG dynamo you are going to need...
Direct drive regen motors add drag and extra weight and good ones cost a lot (GoSwiss Drive). They are useful in mountainous regions where they save brake pads from wearing out too quickly.
